Meet Our Team!

Dr. Joseph Barnhart received his dental degree from UMKC Dental School and has continued a legacy of dentistry by joining his father Dr. John F. Barnhart at Barnhart Dental. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association. and the International Academy of Sleep.

Dr. Barnhart brought Show Me Sleep to life and has watched our dental team work and grow to ensure the success of our practice. Having had family members diagnosed with sleep apnea, has inspired him to become  a sleep dentist. He is proud to offer state-of-the-art technology and techniques to give patients a better night’s rest. 

Dr. Barnhart loves being able to enjoy all that country life has to offer with his family in his home-town.

Kelly has been with Show Me Sleep Solutions since its conception and loves working in an environment where the health of our patients always comes first! She creates a system to ensure that all our patients are taken care of from the moment they schedule their appointment to when they are walking out with happy smiles.

Outside of work she is the wife of Dr. Joseph Barnhart and mother of a sweet little two year old that keeps them very busy! In her free time she loves spending time with her family and teaching dance in her small community. Kelly is a huge Chiefs fan as a former Cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs!

Amanda has a deep passion to help people in every way and assisting them in getting the sleep they need. “When it comes to sleep disorders I am even more passionate due to my daughter being affected by mild sleep apnea at a young age. Going through sleep studies with her helped me understand the importance of sleep and the effects it has on a person’s body and health.”

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. “I love spending weekends on the river with my family and teaching my kids about farm living!”

Lauren is our Lead Sleep Assistant, where she works side by side with our patients and laboratory's to process all impressions needed for our oral devices. Lauren has been a dental assistant for many years. She is compassionate for patient care and health. "I love serving our patients and making sure they feel comfortable each step of their visit. I strive to share the importance of sleep and how it effects out mental and physical health."

Outside of work, she loves shopping and spending time with her family. Lauren and her husband have one son together, and they also foster full time. In her free time she plays an active role on her church's photography and media team. 

Kalee is the newest member of the Show Me Sleep team. She will be graduating this fall with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding. She is very excited to start this journey with Show Me Sleep. She currently spends her spare time remodeling a house with her boyfriend. "When I'm not doing that I enjoy going on walks with my dog Harlee, playing slow-pitch softball, going shopping, and hanging out with friends and family. I look forward to helping patients and working with such a knowledgeable and amazing team."
